If you are a woman who suffers from sexual issues such as low desire or inability to achieve an orgasm, or urinary stress incontinence, you know how frustrating these issues can be. Most women are embarrassed or nervous to speak with their physician or gynecologist about such matters, and many doctors don’t have much to say on these important issues. In fact, up until very recently, there were very few ways to deal with these female concerns aside from prescribing hormones or suggesting psychotherapy.
Now, there is a new treatment in Las Vegas called the Orgasm Shot®, or O Shot®, that not only offers hope for these conditions, but can also be administered during a simple, pretty comfortable in-office procedure. The O Shot® is a non-surgical procedure created by Charles Runels, MD, also the creator of the Vampire Facelift®, Vampire Facial®, Vampire Breast Lift® and the Priapus Shot® for men.
* What Is The O Shot®?
After a brief review of a patient’s history and a physical exam, to be sure that a woman is a reasonable candidate for the O Shot® and that she understands the potential benefits and risks, topical numbing medicine is applied to the mucosal skin of the clitoris, outer vagina, and the tissue under the opening of the urethra (the conduit for draining the bladder of urine). While the tissue is becoming very (temporarily) numb, a special tube of the patient’s blood is filled via a small butterfly needle. That tube is spun in a centrifuge using a special protocol that separates the red blood cells (bottom) from the clear, yellow fluid (plasma) above. That plasma contains the woman’s own concentrated growth and healing factors. This Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP), is carefully injected with a very thin needle, into the tissue of the clitoris and external vagina. There is little, if any, discomfort because of the topical numbing. Women may return to work or home and normal activities immediately.
* How Does This Procedure Work?
The O Shot® works because the doctor activates the PRP with the addition of a precise amount of a calcium compound that is in all our bodies, just before the injections. The platelets suspended in the plasma are tricked into thinking that an injury has occurred. The doctor carefully and gently places precise amounts of PRP in the structures responsible for the female orgasm, pleasure and urinary retention. The calcium and injections trigger a reaction from the platelets that release seven different growth factors and kinesis (proteins that carry messages between cells). These healing and growth factors cause new cell growth and vascularization to occur over several months. Tissues become more supple, sensitive and elastic. They thicken and produce more lubrication when stimulated. Most women who have received these injections have experienced improvement in their sexual response and ability to hold their urine soon (hours to weeks) after the injections. Some have had profound and nearly immediate increases in their sensitivity, but most women note a more gradual response over several weeks, which can last many months to several years, before being repeated or amplified.
* Who Can Benefit From The O Shot®?
Women who are experiencing Hypoactive Sexual Desire Disorder (low desire), Female Sexual Arousal Disorder, Female Orgasmic Disorder (difficulty achieving orgasm), or Dyspareunia (painful sex), may all benefit from the O Shot®. The Shot is not only helpful to women who are having sexual issues, but has been beneficial in decreasing urinary stress incontinence.
And not to be left out, Men can experience a similar benefit from PRP injections, called the Priapus Shot®. All’s fair in love, as they say!
