Over time, the years are going to catch up with you. It is most noticeable when you look at your reflection in the mirror and see your face begin to droop. Sagging jowls, lines, and wrinkles are all part of the aging process. No matter how conscientious you are about your skin, protecting it from the sun and using moisturizers are not enough to hold back the hands on the clock of time.
Maybe you’ve considered a facelift, but you do not want to go through an involved, surgical procedure. Fortunately, you have non-surgical options. Bellafill® and Radiesse® offer you a liquid facelift with promising results.
What is Bellafill®?
Bellafill® is a type of dermal filler that is injected into your skin. It contains a combination of collagen and polymethylmethacrylate, also referred to as PMAA microspheres. These substances work together to enhance your body’s production of collagen. When injected into trouble spots, lines are smoothed away and the underlying structure of your skin is provided with more support. You’ll see more volume in the areas that have been treated.
Unlike other forms of dermal fillers, the PMAA microspheres will remain in place and are not absorbed. You can expect enduring results in the areas that are treated without the need for surgery. You’ll simply have injections in the areas of concern and your results will be permanent. You may have temporary discomfort, bruising, mild swelling, or redness for the first few days after treatment but you will not be restricted from your regular activities.
Bellafill® is not advised if you have allergies related to collagen and lidocaine. If you tend to have excessive scarring or problems with a bleeding disorder, Bellafill® is not for you.
What is Radiesse®?
Radiesse® is another dermal filler that adds volume to your skin. It will actually continue to promote collagen production, providing you with more enduring results than some other forms of dermal fillers. Results can last up to a year. Treatments are performed on an outpatient basis.
Like Bellafill®, lidocaine is used as an anesthetic to minimize discomfort. Injections are made to trouble spots and you can immediately return to your regular routine. You can anticipate some irritation, swelling, redness or bruising in the first week, but will be able to enjoy visible improvement within a short time. Radiesse® is not recommended if you have allergies, skin conditions, or a bleeding disorder.
What Areas Can be Treated with Bellafill® or Radiesse®?
Dermal fillers like Bellafill® and Radiesse® are typically used to address wrinkles or facial lines. Dr. Zimmerman can target crow’s feet around the eyes, lines between the eyes, furrows on your forehead, lines around your mouth, and lines by your nose.
Once you’ve had dermal fillers injected into your trouble spots, your face will have a firmer, more youthful appearance and the lines will be smoothed away. Choose Bellafill® if you do not want to have return treatments. If you are unsure about opting for a permanent solution, Radiesse® may be the alternative for you. Doctor Zimmerman can help you to make an informed decision, or you can use a combination of fillers. Contact Las Vegas Laser and Lipo today to schedule your consultation.
